Okay, hey guys, so the show has been quiet for a while, and I want to give you some info on what happened and what happens next. Hey, so I am Gina Dunn, and this is Morning Cup of Brand Spark, season three, The Real Work. And the story is I burned out from it. Work, clients, like everything at once. And the podcast I had was built in a way that needed, actually a lot more for me than I had at the time. I had twenty guest episodes planned out. I was like weekly promise for season three, had a calendar full of other people's schedules and time zones all over the world. So actually instead of limping it all along and trying to figure out how the hell I was gonna record a podcast, I stopped for a bit. And I rebuilt the whole thing for season three. Season three is called The Real Work.
It's just me for the most part. No interview calendar unless I want there to be. No guest small talk unless I invite somebody. And no, welcome back to the show. One episode, one true thing about brand strategy. The way I'd actually say it to a client who's standing in the room with me. And the audit.
The audit I run in my head on every single client call. Why your website waits, and what AI is doing to your voice, and how to stop that from happening. What a brand build actually costs in the real world today. I'm talking about real stuff that you can use the same day, immediately. And it's for the woman who knows she's awesome.
But she can't always name exactly what makes her different or she's evolved. But she's built something real. It's you. You're showing up. But you're still watching other people with half your and you're s and you're still sitting here watching other people with half your skill getting remembered while you sometimes get skipped. If that's you,
This season is gonna feel like someone finally said the damn thing out loud. And that's gonna be me. The episodes are intentionally s super short. The episodes are short somewhere between a coffee and your commute. And they're organized in chapters that follow the order of a real build of a brand. So you can binge them in order, or you can drop in wherever it hurts in your current brand and marketing process.
Right now. And no, I'm not gonna promise you that I'm putting an episode out every week. I tried that and I had a big epic fail. New episodes are gonna come when there's something worth for me to say. I'm not gonna run on a treadmill to do this. It's not gonna, I'm not doing this to feed an algorithm. When an episode drops, it'll be worth your 15 minutes of time. Promise. So
I invite you to follow the show so that your brand gets a little more clear with every single episode. I'll see you in episode one that's coming soon next week. And remember, leave your brand mark. See ya soon.
Key takeaways & FAQ
Five things to steal
- 01 Rebuild your format when the old structure demands more than you can sustain long-term.
- 02 Drop weekly publishing pressure and release content only when it's genuinely worth sharing.
- 03 Run a mental audit on every client call to catch brand gaps immediately.
- 04 Organize episodes in chapters so people can binge in order or jump to their pain point.
- 05 Speak to your audience like they're standing in the room with you, not performing for an algorithm.
Frequently asked
Gina burned out from work, clients, and everything happening at once. The previous show format required twenty planned guest episodes, a weekly release promise, and a calendar full of other people's schedules across time zones, which became unsustainable for her at the time.
Season three, called The Real Work, is mostly solo with no interview calendar unless she wants one, no guest small talk, and no 'welcome back' intros. Each episode covers one true thing about brand strategy, delivered the way she'd say it directly to a client in the room.
There's no promise of weekly episodes. Gina tried that before and called it a big epic fail. New episodes will come out when she has something worth saying, not to feed an algorithm or hit a schedule, but each one is meant to be worth 15 minutes.
It's made for the woman who knows she's awesome but can't always name what makes her different, or who has evolved and built something real yet still watches other people with half her skill get remembered while she gets skipped.
Season two originally had 20 guest episodes planned with a weekly release promise
