Your brand isn't a paragraph. It's a single sentence that makes you proud to say it out loud. Today's BrandSpark is your final Saturday challenge in the series. Write the one line that makes you feel brave, clear, and grounded. One sentence with full resonance. Good morning. You're listening to your morning cup of BrandSpark. I'm Gina Dunn, founder and brand strategist of OG Solutions.

Today is Saturday, July 12th, and today is your challenge day. We're going to start here. You don't need a tagline. You need a truth line. So let's spark it up.

There's a power in one single sentence. Every founder has a sentence they want to say. The one that feels big, it feels true and brave, but also the one they often edit down, hide in the footer, or water down to sound professional, or buff it out to make it a whole paragraph. Branded confidence is saying the one thing you believe without apology. Don't pitch this, anchor it.

This isn't a sales sentence or a pitch. It's an anchor to your soul. What's the sentence feel? What's the sentence that feels powerful in your body? A sentence that feels like your actual voice? Or a sentence that makes your mission undeniable to anyone you say it to? It could be your offer. It could be your why.

It could be your magic line, the one that always makes people pause. If you can say it out loud and feel calm and clear and truly proud with it, that's your brand talking. Let this sentence find you. You don't need to force it. Just sit for 10 minutes and ask yourself a few questions. Grab a notebook. Guys, this is your exercise.

What do I really want to say? What have I been too scared to name? What feels like relief to put in writing? And what do other people say about me and my offer and my business and my brand? Then write the one line. You might need to write this 20 times before you get to one line. Give yourself that grace. Once you write the one line,

You choose your one line, say it out loud. Keep saying that one line until it stops sounding rehearsed and starts sounding real and coming from your soul. So here's your Spark Challenge for today. Step one, write the sentence that makes you proud. Do the exercise to do this. Spark two, say it out loud five times.

And step three of the spark, and this is optional, but I highly recommend it, post it, frame it, print it. Just don't bury it again. Make this your heart. If you're circling the right words, but can't quite land them, this will help. Confidence isn't built from buzzwords or what other people tell you to write it as.

It's one sentence. It's true and it's yours. And that's today's brand spark. I'll see you tomorrow.

Frequently asked

A brand truth line is a single sentence that anchors your identity to your core belief — not a sales pitch or marketing tagline. According to Gina Dunn, it's the sentence that makes you feel calm, clear, and truly proud when you say it out loud. It reflects your actual voice, your mission, or your magic line — the one that makes people pause.

Gina Dunn recommends a 10-minute notebook exercise where you ask yourself four questions: What do I really want to say? What have I been too scared to name? What feels like relief to put in writing? And what do others say about me and my brand? Write the sentence as many times as needed, then say it aloud until it stops sounding rehearsed and starts feeling genuine.

Many founders have a sentence they believe deeply but edit it down, hide it in a footer, or water it down to sound more professional. Gina Dunn explains that founders often buff it into a whole paragraph to avoid vulnerability. The challenge is resisting that impulse and allowing the truest, boldest version of the sentence to stand on its own.

According to Gina Dunn, you've found the right sentence when you can say it out loud and feel calm, clear, and truly proud. It should feel powerful in your body, sound like your actual voice, and make your mission undeniable to anyone who hears it. Confidence in the sentence comes not from buzzwords but from it being genuinely true and yours.
