Before the weekend hits, here's your Friday brand challenge. Find the one line in your brand that carries. The sentence that actually sparks a response invites a memory and echoes when you're not in the room. Not the fluff, not the filler, the line.
Good morning everyone. Today is Friday, July 18th, and this is your morning cup of brand spark. I'm Gina Dunn, founder and brand strategist of OG Solutions, and we're closing in on the end of week one of Echo Flare with a challenge for you. A brand isn't what you say, it's what they remember. So let's spark it up. Most of your words,
are not the point. Take a slow, slow walk through your website. Skim the about page. Scroll your last five articles. And then skim your email footer. What's the one sentence that actually lands with people? And the one that makes your own body go, that's true. Now, I don't mean the polished line and not the tagline that you made
three years ago. I'm talking about the sentence you say on sales calls. The one that slips out when you're being honest and true. Most brands bury their power lines under paragraphs of polite polishing. And that one line? That's the ember. That's the beginning of the fire.
Echo doesn't come from noise. So here's what happens when that line is missing from your brand and communications. People read your text, but they don't engage with you. They might understand you, but they don't remember you. And they might nod, but they probably will never reach out to you. Why is that? It's because your signal wasn't strong enough to carry.
or echo. We think we need more words, more slides, tons more proof. But what we really need is one sentence that says, this is what I believe, this is what I do, and this is why it matters to you. And once you find that sentence, you stop writing for approval and you start writing for echo. Let that sentence lead.
So what if that line wasn't a hidden gem in your marketing? What if it led your pitch? What if it opened your homepage? And what if it replaced the safe summary at the top of your LinkedIn profile? This is what branded confidence looks and feels like. Owning the line that actually moves people and letting that lead. That line doesn't need explanation.
It doesn't need hashtags. And it doesn't need proof. It just needs to be spoken clearly and said consistently. So here's today's Spark check. Spark 1. What sentence in your brand actually sticks? Spark 2. Where is that sentence currently hiding? And Spark 3. What would shift if you made that your lead?
This weekend, the blog drops. Why being seen isn't enough. And there we're going to go deeper into what real clarity sounds like in the wild. You can watch for it on the website at ogsolutions.nl. And if you need help sharpening the line that leads, reach out to me. Clarity isn't complicated, you guys. Most of the time, it's just buried.
Find the line, let it lead. That's your brand spark for today. I'll see you tomorrow this weekend for a deep close of week one. I'll see you soon.

Frequently asked
According to brand strategist Gina Dunn, your power line is rarely on your homepage. She recommends slowly walking through your website, about page, last five articles, and email footer to find the one sentence that actually lands — specifically the honest line that slips out on sales calls when you're being real, not polished. That's the sentence that carries.
Gina Dunn explains this happens when your signal isn't strong enough to carry or echo. Readers may understand you and even nod along, but if no single sentence is memorable enough to stick, they won't engage or contact you. The solution isn't more words or more proof — it's one clear sentence that states what you believe, what you do, and why it matters.
A brand power line, as defined by Gina Dunn of OG Solutions, is the single sentence in your communications that sparks a response, invites a memory, and echoes after the conversation ends. It's not a tagline created years ago — it's the honest, true statement that moves people. Once found, it should lead your pitch, open your homepage, and anchor your LinkedIn profile.
Gina Dunn advises letting that line lead everywhere — at the top of your homepage, opening your pitch, and replacing the safe summary on your LinkedIn profile. It doesn't need explanation, hashtags, or supporting proof. It simply needs to be spoken clearly and used consistently across all brand touchpoints to build recognition and real connection with your audience.
